Community Consensus

Everyone should have a bottle of this. It's the Swiss Army knife of broadleaf weed control.

Overview

The 3-way broadleaf herbicide (2,4-D + dicamba + mecoprop) is the foundational post-emergent product for broadleaf weed control. It kills dandelions, clover, plantain, chickweed, henbit, and most common broadleaf weeds in a single application.

How It Works

The three active ingredients attack broadleaf weeds through different pathways, providing broad-spectrum control. The combination is synergistic — each ingredient enhances the others’ effectiveness. Apply as a liquid spray with a pump sprayer for precision targeting.

Application Tips

Apply when weeds are actively growing and temperatures are between 55-85°F. Add blue indicator dye to track coverage and prevent double-spraying. Spray to wet the leaf surface but not to the point of runoff. Do not mow for 24-48 hours before or after application.

Best Timing

Fall applications are more effective than spring for perennial weeds like dandelion. In fall, plants are sending nutrients downward to roots for winter storage, and the herbicide travels with those nutrients to the root system for a complete kill.
